We took a blank sheet of paper and Dr. Eli Goldratt's Theory of Constraints aka TOC, rolled in Colonel John Boyd's OODA Loop, then removed the ATS, Resumes, and Email from the process to create the Venn Hiring Model™. The results are impressive.
Nothing has replaced good old fashion hard work for producing results. What is new is the application or misapplication of technology to help humans do their jobs better and faster. But in today's world that technology is most often aimed at symptoms, not the root cause.
At VoiceFirst Careers we first removed the ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) from the equation. Which demanded we eliminate the need for Resumes! Next, we asked how do you prevent ghosting? Eliminate emails! Which required a new way to communicate with Hiring Managers and the Talent they seek. Isn't it obvious? We require both parties' mobile phone numbers!
How refreshing. Our Venn diagram of the players and their interests lead to a new model defining the shortest distance between the needs of companies and organizations and the Talent required to produce results. Amazing results as a direct response to always hiring the "A Players" for open Job Reqs. How cool is that?!
