Blue Heart Records signs Crooked Eye Tommy

LANCASTER, Pa. - June 17, 2020 - PRLog -- Forged in the blood of brothers Tommy and Paddy Marsh, Crooked Eye Tommy casts a musical spell with the depths of joy and melancholy that can only result from a lifetime of playing music together.  Since first entering the music scene in Ventura County in 2010, Crooked Eye Tommy has been a six-time Ventura County Music Award winner and two-time International Blues Challenge semi-finalist (2014 and 2019), and in 2020 reached the Finals.   Their debut album, Butterflies and Snakes, was released in 2015 and garnered impressive acclaim and recognition.

Now, Crooked Eye Tommy returns with an outstanding sophomore opus, Hot Coffee and Pain, slated for global release on Blue Heart Records on August 21, 2020.  The album contains nine tracks; three covers and six originals, including "Baby Where You Been," a duet written by Tommy Marsh featuring Grammy nominee Teresa James on vocals and piano.  The project was recorded at Carbonite Sound in Ojai, CA with Grammy-winning audio engineer Jason Mariani (Joe Bonamassa, Robben Ford) at the helm.

"It has taken us awhile to get this album together but we are so excited about the final product. We all feel strongly that this is our best work to date and look forward to sharing this with the world. We could not be happier working with Sallie Bengtson at Blue Heart Records and the amazing Betsie Brown at Blind Raccoon. They are a one-two punch in this industry and with them on our side the sky is the limit," says bandleader Tommy Marsh.

Hot Coffee and Pain is the third album on the newly-formed Blue Heart Records imprint, a joint venture established in January 2020 by Nola Blue Records and Blind Raccoon.  "I first spoke with Tommy about this project during the International Blues Challenge in 2019," says Sallie Bengtson, president of Nola Blue. "I was inspired by our conversation and am so pleased for the opportunity to help him build on his recent success at the 2020 IBC with this exciting new release."
