About MINER'S KILL …
Detective Jack LeClere casts a long shadow in the New Rhodes Police Department, and long shadows come with lots of darkness. He is under the gun to account for the blowback of his latest big cases. As one of the richest men in the city, Jack doesn't need the job. At least that's the thought among the top brass.
When Jack gets the call to the theater after a nice grilling session, he finds pillar of the community Leonard Beloit, lying on the ground with a pickaxe buried in his chest. To find Beloit's murderer, Jack will peel the onion of New Rhodes high society, reveal Beloit's secret, degenerate life and find him involved in a dangerous pursuit worth killing over.
Jack must investigate a group of people who have just as much reason to investigate him. His fortune, quite literally blood money, is something he spent a lifetime running away from. To get to the truth, he may have to embrace the version of him that could've been and could perhaps become.
