CESI Offers Credit Card Payment Relief Program During COVID-19 Pandemic

By: Consumer Education Services, Inc.
RALEIGH, N.C. - June 9, 2020 - PRLog -- Consumer Education Services, Inc. (CESI), in partnership with the Financial Counseling Association of America (FCAA) and the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC), is providing financial counseling and payment relief for those at risk of falling behind on credit card debt due to the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The debt relief program allows consumers to defer their monthly payments for up to 60 days, while also providing counseling to ensure a brighter financial future.

There is no cost or long-term commitment for the program and deferred payments will report as being paid on-time and will not result in late fees or debt collection activity. For those already enrolled in a debt management plan, options are available to reduce monthly debt payments for as long as necessary or to place payments on forbearance in more severe hardship situations.

"The economic crisis that has resulted from COVID-19 is truly devastating for so many," said Mike Croxson, chief executive officer of CESI. "Credit card debt is one of the most difficult financial situations to recover from and that's only amplified now by the fact that so many are experiencing reduced income or loss of employment entirely. This program allows consumers some relief in the short-term, while our counseling provides valuable lessons they can use both immediately and going forward."
