Keyes Realty Group Owner Tenesia Looney Donates her 2019 KCRAR Community Service Award of $1000

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - June 5, 2020 - PRLog -- On June 9^th at Reconciliation Services at 2:30 p.m., Tenesia Looney will be donating a $1000 check in honor of her receiving the 2019 KCRAR Community Service Award. Looney is a lifetime Kansas City resident who is the owner of Keys Realty Group, Inc.  Reconciliation Services and Thelma's Kitchen are a special place for Looney as she holds the location dear to her heart. Reconciliation Services and Thelma's Kitchen are located at 3101 Troost Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri.

Over the last several years, Looney has sponsored the following community events:

Back to School Backpacks Giveaways: Every child needs the proper tools to be successful in school. This project is about ensuring students have the backpacks and school supplies needed to excel. The event occurs at Central, Center, East, Kipp, and Church Elementary Schools and over 200 backpacks are donated on an annual basis.

Walk in Wednesdays: If you ever wanted the opportunity to learn about home ownership, then Walk in Wednesdays is for you. The Keys Realty Group office will allow you to walk and spend some time to ask any and every question regarding home ownership.  There is nothing off the table and the gift of time is donated. There is no consultation fee for a vast array of information. This is Looney's way of helping potential homeowners who may be intimidated to visit a bank or see a loan officer. She believes that providing adequate knowledge means good faith in preparing a homeowner for the very basics in home ownership.

Community Thanksgiving Dinners: All too often, people do not get to rest and have someone else cook the turkey dinner on Thanksgiving Day. This event is designed to give people a rest and let fellowship take place.

Cold Weather Coat Drive: Looney knows what it is like to not have a good warm coat for the winter. She remembers being cold in the winter as a little girl. Therefore, now she is committed to giving away winter coats to help those in need.

Community Fun Day: Her son wanted Looney to take off a day and just have fun with him. She instead invited the whole neighborhood near Ivanhoe Park, and they had a ball. This fun day included free food, free snow cones, Double Dutch contests, obstacles courses for youth and adults, a Moon Walk, and sack races. KPRS was there to air the live remote and everyone had a great time.
