WASHINGTON - June 5, 2020 - PRLog -- The Pangea Challenge Team and Tina Thörner announce today that they are joining forces via the FIA Smart Driving Challenge on behalf of a better environment and road safety for the world. The purpose of this collaborative effort is to raise awareness and encourage drivers around the globe to handle their cars in a safe, efficient and considered way by following smart tips from the AI digital coach.

"We are proud and excited to take part in this global FIA Smart Driving Challenge," said Pangea Challenge founder and co-creator, Kimberly King, "and honored to join forces with our friend and real-life hero, Tina Thörner. We invite changemakers and advocates everywhere to join the Tina Thörner / Pangea Smart Driving Challenge Team today!"

"I feel so proud and honored that Pangea Challenge have joined this initiative and together we will have fun while creating a positive impact," said Race Director Tina Thörner.

This ground-breaking initiative was launched by the Federation Internationale de l'Automobilé (FIA) in late November 2018 and is open to all motorists and all types of cars (electric, hybrid or fuel).  The FIA Smart Driving Challenge (SDC) is a worldwide competition with the aim to reward the safest and most efficient drivers.

To accept the challenge, participants are asked to choose a team led by one of 20 racing stars across the world. The Pangea Challenge Team proudly joins TEAM TINA as part of this Global Race to a better Environment. During the season, Team Leader and Race Director Tina Thörner will give updates, tips and incitements to improve their smart driving skills and performance. Each participant will be invited to download the FIA SDC app on their smartphone and connect an ODB plug-in or App2Car. They then compete for the prize during their everyday driving! The goal is to make it fun to contribute to a safer and cleaner world by signing up for the Challenge 2020 and beyond.

The FIA Smart Driving Challenge (SDC) is supported by FIA Member Clubs across the world. Currently 12 FIA Clubs have either joined the challenge or are conducting tests. These include: (Automobile Club Association - France, Automobile Association Philippines - Philippines, Automobile Association of Singapore - Singapore, Ceylon Motor Sports Club - Sri Lanka, Emirates Motorsports Organization - United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong Automobile Association - Hong Kong, Kungliga Automobile Klubben - Sweden, Norges Automobil-Förbund - Norway, Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation - Qatar, Royal Automobile Club of Norway - Norway, Royal Automobile Club of Tasmania - Australia, Svenska Bilsportförbundet - Sweden), with more looking to join in the future.
