Dr. Daniel Hect tapped as newest board member for the Ohio Small Police Department Association

CLEVELAND - May 30, 2020 - PRLog -- Jeff Ehasz, CEO of the Ohio Small Police Department Association (OSPSA) announced that Dr. Daniel Hect, Village of Hartford Chief, will join the Board at OSPDA.

"A career cop, who has worked in large and small university and municipal agencies… Chief Hect brings a wealth of educational and first-hand law enforcement experience to OSPDA," Ehasz said. "The Board of OSPDA helps ensure that Ohio's law enforcement agencies have strong resources to keep them serving the community. Chief Hect's valuable insight into the rapidly changing world of law enforcement will enhance the positive impact OSPDA can have in our communities."

"Chief Hect and the other Board Members will take OSPDA to the next level in professional law enforcement," said OSPDA Board President Chief Keith Creter. "He has demonstrated leadership qualities we hope will translate into an improvement for small law enforcement agencies in the State of Ohio. We strive to provide small police agencies with resources that may not be available due to budget constraints in their communities."

Dr. Daniel Hect is currently serving as director of training for the National Association of Campus Safety Administrators and the chief of police at the Village of Hartford in Central Ohio. Hect has over 30 years in law enforcement service.  Dr. Hect has been adjunct faculty at Xavier University and Westwood College. He holds an Ed.D in Organizational Leadership from Argosy University, Masters in Liberal Studies from the University of Southern California, and Bachelors in Business Management from the University of Phoenix, along with professional certifications from The National Association of Campus Safety Administrators, Southern Police Institute and OPOTA.
