A recent Goldman Sachs survey of over 1,500 small business owners shows that more than 50% of small businesses will not operate beyond three months due to the economic impact of the pandemic.
To minimise the adverse effect of the pandemic on product-based small businesses owners in the Benelux area, UPS and Rise and Lead Women will host a training webinar titled, "Build and Market Your Ecommerce Store", to be held on May 28, 2020, at 4 pm (CET). During the 90-minute free webinar, UPS and Rise and Lead Women will discuss strategies for Ecommerce setup, digital marketing and delivery solutions that will help reposition and keep small businesses running, even with the limits and restrictions on movement.
"Small and medium-sized enterprises are the driving force behind the economy of the Benelux," said Massimo Perrotti, UPS Benelux Marketing Manager and webinar host. "As a technology and innovation-driven company, UPS enables SMBs and entrepreneurs to grow their business globally easily and quickly."
Massimo Perrotti and Jochen Brughmans from UPS will be joined by Ebere Akadiri, a small business consultant and founder of Rise and Lead Women. They will discuss how small business owners can pivot, grow and scale their businesses by using Ecommerce and digital channels. There will be a Q&A session to enable participants to get the best out of the webinar.
According to Ebere Akadiri, "the world, as we used to know, may never return to normal. Therefore as we adjust towards "the new normal," small business founders who have adapted, finding profitable ways to keep serving their customers will thrive".
In addition to providing digital marketing strategies during the webinar, UPS and Rise and Lead are also offering free 15-minute virtual consultations to help SMBs to discuss challenges with shipping, logistics or digital marketing, as well as a free toolkit. In addition, participants will also receive a promo code to ship at discounted rates on www.ups.com, which will be valid for one year.
