Gallup Elks Lodge #1440 Announces Local $4000.00 Donation

GALLUP, N.M. - May 27, 2020 - PRLog -- Elks Lodge #1440 presented the local food bank with a substantial cash donation to continue services provided by the Community Food Pantry & Hope Garden which serves Gallup, New Mexico and surrounding areas recently impacted severely by COVID19.

Many people in Gallup and the surrounding area rely on the Community Food Pantry & Hope Garden.   There is increased need for food banks in the U.S. since the COVID19 Pandemic.  The initiative set forth by Benevolent Protective Order of Elks Grand Lodge in Chicago, Illinois has urged local lodges to direct charitable efforts to local causes such as Community Food Pantry & Hope Garden.

"Our services have increased from 3,500 families to over 7,000 seeking assistance in the past few months," said Alice Crabbe Perez, Chief Executive Officer, Community Food Pantry & Hope Garden. "This definitely helps with more people being impacted by COVID19."
