Indianapolis Startup Hosts Gaming Fundraisers
Andromeda Galactic Solutions participates in Extra Life to support Riley Hospital for Children
Extra Life unites thousands of gamers around the world to play games in support of their local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. Since its inception in 2008, Extra Life has raised over $70 million for sick and injured kids.
In April, the Andromeda team kicked off their fundraising efforts with a virtual board game played and streamed by their employees across the U.S. They plan to host at least one similar event every other month through November 7, the official Extra Life Game Day.
The next event, a virtual play of "Race to the Galaxy," will be streamed live at https://www.twitch.tv/
"Serving the community is a very important part of who we are as an organization,"
In 2019, Andromeda raised more than $1,800 for the cause. Andromeda is also active in educating the next generation of developers through Eleven Fifty Academy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bridging the tech talent gap in Indiana.
