Colliers International grows industrial and office investment brokerage team in Orlando
Nick Hanson, SIOR, joins the company as Managing Director, Investment Services

During his seven-year career, Hanson has been directly involved in commercial real estate transactions totaling over $500 million. He has worked on behalf of many institutional and private investors, including Blue Vista, Taurus Holdings, TerraCap Management and RealOp Investments.
Among many high-profile transactions, he handled the sale of American Industrial Center for $49 million in Longwood in January 2019. It was the largest-ever multi-tenant industrial park sale to a private buyer in Central Florida, with the property representing 20% of the Longwood industrial market.

Hanson was most recently Vice President of Investments at Marcus and Millichap's Orlando office, as well as a Director of the firm's National Office and Industrial Properties Group. In that role, he specialized in the sale of industrial and office investment properties in Central and North Florida. He also previously worked at NAI Commercial in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, focusing on industrial brokerage.

Hanson holds the SIOR designation, awarded by the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors, which recognizes top producers in the commercial real estate field. He graduated from the University of Victoria in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, with a bachelor's degree in Commerce.
"Colliers was the first company I applied to work for when I decided to enter commercial real estate," Hanson said. "It was the largest commercial real estate brokerage in Canada and I've always had an affinity for the company. I didn't get the job then, but joining the firm today I feel I'm coming full circle.
