FORT MYERS, Fla. - May 8, 2020 - PRLog -- As communities across the country are struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic, generous employees of Creighton Construction & Development are delivering acts of kindness to support local frontline medical staff and first responders as well as restaurants, families and others in need.

Members of the Creighton Construction & Development team have been making waves coast-to-coast in Florida as well as in Texas and Colorado, delivering meals, funds and kind acts to others in their communities, and also challenging local business partners to join them in their efforts. A dozen #CreightonCares projects have been completed to date, with more underway.

In Florida:

·         Director of Construction Forest Headley and his team partnered with House of Omelets in Cape Coral to provide a free breakfast for 225 people in need through United Way of Lee, Hendry, Glades, and Okeechobee Counties.

·         Comptroller Heather Kiesel delivered 40 meals from IRagazzi Pizza to the Cape Coral Police Department for the night shift crew.

·         Kiesel, along with IRagazzi Pizza, also delivered 34 pizzas, chips and cookies to One in Christ Community Church in North Fort Myers to support its community outreach feedings. The church feeds typically 40-50 people a week, but after the safer-at-home order was issued, they were working to feed 200 people.

·         Development Coordinator Matthew Ross surprised the staff of a Cape Coral restaurant with a Publix Super Markets gift card.

·         Construction Superintendent Dave Gardner has spent several weekends making homemade pizzas, partnering with his wife to deliver to those in need within the North Port area.

·         Development Manager Roger Posey worked with several business partners and Tap 42 to safely provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner to 38 people in the Miami area who were relocated to quarantine from a local homeless shelter.

·         Posey and community partners also donated $600 for meals for the ER doctors and nurses on the frontlines at Broward Health Imperial Point Medical Center.

·         Posey and partners also contributed $600 to Helping Abused Neglected Disadvantaged Youth (HANDY), to help provide meals to children in low income areas of Broward County.

·         VP of Construction & Development Charley Carpenter organized an effort to serve more than 155 family-style meals to over 600 Space Coast residents, local health care professionals, military families and first responders impacted as a result of COVID-19.
