SALT LAKE CITY - May 5, 2020 - PRLog -- Handshakes, hugs and sharing pens and pencils may become things of the past. Physical contact with anyone or anything can now set off alarm bells.

COVID-19 is changing the world of customer relations, from contactless point-of-sale purchases to online ordering. As officials like to say, "statistics don't lie." New sales figures are up 121% in April 2020 compared to April 2019, say officials from WaiverSign.

On April 22, WaiverSign hosted a free webinar addressing liability considerations and waivers during coronavirus recovery. Its audience were players in the arenas of recreation, fitness, tours and activities. From yoga studios and gyms to zip line companies and whitewater rafting outfitters, WaiverSign's growing portfolio of clients are asking what is their liability if someone contracts the virus as a result of participating in an event or activity that they have hosted.

The webinar also addressed the need to mitigate the possible risks facing a guest and how to limit liability exposure by defining and implementing a solid operations plan. Protocols, screening, training and communication are all vital elements, as suggested by panelist Leah Corrigan, founder of the Recreation Law Center in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
