PALMA DE MALLORCA, Spain - April 28, 2020 - PRLog -- As coronavirus lockdowns began spreading around the globe, Maeve and Dave Dempsey began asking listeners to post videos to the SuperYacht Radio YouTube channel sharing their many talents – be it singing, reading poetry, scuba diving, cooking or even any old videos they may have saved to their phone doing something they love.

Now, with a group of partners and supporters, the fun is growing with the launch of Yachting's Got Talent, a global talent-sharing collaboration that Maeve and Dave hope will bring a little light relief and sense of connection to uncertain times.

"While the yachting community is very tight, it's also very global – everyone is spread out and it can be hard to connect," explains Maeve. "But we are really only separated distanced by one or two degrees of separation. Everybody knows everybody in some way. That feeling of connection with people all over the world is so important in moments like these."

Maeve feels the purpose and possibility is as simple as a moment of fun but also hopes it contributes to a broader sense of belonging for everyone from sailing and yachting enthusiasts, to crew members and kids from those communities.

People of all ages can get involved, with simple ways for both adults and kids to share (https://www.superyachtradio.com/ygt.html) and see one another's talents. With videos already submitted through their website from over fifteen countries, people can get inspired on the Yachting's Got Talent YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCv1sp-2Cf_rRsP9ye3NhElA/...) and kids' talent page on The Wonderment (https://thewonderment.com/paths/yachtings-got-talent-kids-edition/), a partner non-profit youth platform hosting submissions for participants under 18 years old.

"When you share joy, it raises your sense of wellbeing and I think that's the most important thing, especially at the moment" she concludes.
