OLYMPIA, Wash. - April 27, 2020 - PRLog -- According to a April 22, 2020 Vox article, meat originating from factory farms is a major global pandemic risk factor. Animals are packed tightly together and live under harsh and unsanitary conditions that can weaken their immune systems and make them susceptible to zoonotic diseases (those transmitted from animals to humans). To remove the threat of a zoonotic outbreak, the article states, "We should be accelerating the movement toward plant-based meat, milk and egg products."

To this end, My Vegan Venue promotes the practice of ethical veganism and has recently published a vegan cookbook designed to help people easily transition to a plant-based meat, milk and egg diet. The "Simple Transitions:  53 Vegan Recipe Collection" downloadable cookbook provides viable vegan recipes along with information about vegan food products and options. Some of the 53 recipes are veganized versions of traditional dishes while others are unique.

Information on the cookbook, including a list of recipes, is on the company website at  www.myveganvenue.com/simple-transitions-53-recipe-collection/.

The cookbook's recipes introduce both new and experienced cooks to a variety of meat-free and dairy-free products from major vegan brands, including Beyond Meat, Gardein, Field Roast, Daiya Foods, Tofurky, Just, Inc., Go Veggie, Follow Your Heart, Earth Balance, Enjoy Life and So Delicious as well as brands that offer vegan products, including Boca, Lightlife, Morningstar Farms, Quorn, Loma Linda, and Tofutti. Also featured are common vegan staples, including non-dairy milk, grains, tofu, pasta, beans and legumes, nutritional yeast, vital wheat gluten, nuts, and fruits and vegetables.

According to PETA each person can personally save the lives of over 100 animals a year by going and staying vegan.  Founded in 2019 and headed by long time vegan and home chef, Karen Kissell, My Vegan Venue donates a percentage of profits to the United States Humane Society's Pets for Life Program, which provides outreach and support services to underserved communities around the country.
