The PIE Chief Amy Baker Joins MSM International Advisory Board

KELOWNA, British Columbia - April 27, 2020 - PRLog -- Amy Baker, CEO and Founder of The PIE, has joined the MSM International Advisory Board as another industry-recognized member.

Originally a journalist and editor before turning entrepreneur, Baker founded The PIE, a well-known and trusted independent media brand offering news and analysis for professionals in international education around the world. She founded the platform in 2011 along with two professional associates.

Reaching 3.9 million people since launch, The PIE has a successful executive search division and the well-received annual event The PIE Live & The PIEoneer Awards. It has emerged as a multi-faceted company which is uniquely positioned to understand challenges and opportunities globally in the industry.

As she becomes part of the MSM Board, Baker looks forward to hearing more global and informed perspectives in the industry, such as on the development of online learning at this challenging time.

"Post-coronavirus, we will see (and are already seeing) a realization that online learning can have positive impacts on how we learn and engage, and a rethinking of how to reach and engage with international students and offer them immersive experiences that will always contain a digital element," she said.

Baker travels widely attending industry events, engaging with global agenda-setters, and still finds time to sometimes write content for The PIE. She spent a year in France as part of her degree in journalism from City University, London.
