TAMPA, Fla. - April 20, 2020 - PRLog -- As the novel Coronavirus continues to impede everyday life, it is important to keep physical distance in accordance with the CDC guidelines to flatten the curve of infection. Truxx is supporting physical distancing with its "TruxxMe" offering.
TruxxMe is an option in the Truxx application where users can load and unload their goods, without the assistance of the driver. Users can request that the driver stays in the cab to decrease physical proximity. To do this, users simply write "stay in cab" in the delivery description when placing an order. Joe Hess, Co-Founder, and Chief Operating Officer said "Truxx is the only service available to give you access to a truck while maintaining a physical distance. The safety of our users and drivers is of utmost priority, so users can simply make the request and all interactions will be handled via the app."
Truxx is a popular truck-sharing service and the first to build a national driver network. Truck-sharing is similar to popular ride-sharing services like Lyft or Uber, however, their drivers have pickups or vans and they help users move items too big for their cars. Users can easily schedule and rate drivers and make cash-free payments by simply downloading the free app. Like many sharing services, Truxx offers driver location services, in-app messaging and driver background checks. The Truxx app is currently available for download on the App Store and Google Play.
