BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - April 18, 2020 - PRLog -- We're in the midst of a devastating epidemic, and jobs by the millions are being put on hold, or eliminated. "Yet they're also being created and transformed," says best-selling author and career coach, Dr. Gary S. Goodman.

With an Internet connection, suddenly you can work anywhere. Companies are coming to their senses and embracing remote employment, he says.

Goodman tracks job ads with keen interest as a career coach and best-selling author of The 40+ Entrepreneur, How To Create Your Own High-Paying Job, and How To Get Paid Far More Than You're Worth.

"The opportunities I'm seeing today for working from home have never been better," he says.

Goodman is seeing salaried positions, the very same positions that used to require long, exhausting, costly, and polluting commutes to offices.

When the U.S. was shaken by gasoline shortages, Goodman first started touting the substitution of telephone communication for gas-guzzling and plane-hopping visits.

Companies responded, supporting his seminars and tips, because they had to. There were holdouts that felt, intuitively, nothing could replace shaking somebody's hand.

That traditional gesture of ingratiation could be a death touch, today.

The good news is this, says Goodman: If you are a gifted communicator, by phone, email, text, and conferencing, you can fetch a premium for your skills. And there's a special bonus for those that are commonly discriminated against, the young and the old.

The media recited above are largely age-friendly. To gain employment, you don't have to look like you've parkoured out of corporate clip art. You just have to prove you can communicate, whether it is through selling, servicing, negotiating or straightforward influencing.

Here's a fun tip from Goodman. If you are remote job hunting do not search only for opportunities listed in your home city. If you're in Detroit, for instance, use the term "sales remote" and then for City insert San Francisco or Chicago, or New York.

Go where the companies are!

They may be based near or far, but you can "recruit them" and world-source in the same way they are attracting workers.

Suddenly, the entire globe is your job market!

Goodman says he can't convey how game changing this is becoming.
