Metro-Atlanta Master Life Coach Leads Effort to Launch National COVID-19 Coaching Support Helpline

MCDONOUGH, Ga. - April 17, 2020 - PRLog -- Beginning on Monday, April 20^th, at 7a.m. people from around the country impacted by COVID-19 will be able to receive free coaching support from a certified life coach. They will be able to dial 1-888-61-COACH or 1-888-612-6224 to speak to a certified coach who will simply listen and offer encouragement and guidance.

The helpline is the vision of metro-Atlanta based Master Life Coach, Chris Scott. Scott came up with the idea to open a toll-free hotline after receiving calls, texts and direct messages from people who responded to a post that she made on Facebook. The post asked if anyone needed to talk. The response was overwhelming. Scott then guided by her faith in God, set out to get a telephone number to help give people a lifeline to a listening ear. She gathered support from coaches within an online global network of certified life coaches called, Coaching Forward International (CFI).

Scott, who is also the visionary leader behind CFI, coordinated an elite group of coaches who will volunteer their time and skills to help people struggling to make it through COVID-19. Scott said, "We want to help make a difference in people's lives and we thought the best way to make an impact was to create a platform for people to be heard." According to Scott, the calls are confidential. There will be referral services available for people who need mental health counseling from a licensed professional and other resources. Callers will get an opportunity to receive hope, inspiration, and support to move forward.

The helpline will begin with limited hours but will expand based on need. "This is an important time in our history as a nation and we will not be judged on how quickly we recover from this crisis, instead, on how we took care of people during the storm," said Scott.

Coaching Forward International is an online global network of certified life coaches who gather to gain educational support and empowerment. The group also celebrates coaching professionals who serve.
