The document focuses on identifying how to be happy at work and the factors that positively impact the working experience of Vietnamese workers.

HO CHI MINH, Viet Nam - April 17, 2020 - PRLog -- The first edition of the 'Happiness on the Job" Survey was officially released on August 12, 2019

With the participation of 693 workers in three big cities Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, the survey shows that the happiness level of workers (74.75%) is closely related to the feeling of being valued in the workplace (74.7%).

However, the level of happiness between sectors is not even. When asked to rate on a 5-point scale, employees in the field of Customer Care gave the lowest score (1.65 / 5), closely followed by the Finance sector (1.8 / 5) and the Management office treatment (2.5 / 5). Contrary to this figure, the Marketing / Creative group highly values the happiness at work, with an average score of 3.9 / 5, followed by the Human Resources (3.2 / 5) and Information Technology (3/5).

Explaining this, Ms. Le Nguyen Ngoc Thanh, Director of HCMC office. Ho Chi Minh City, Adecco Vietnam said, most of the emotions that workers interact with daily will directly affect them, typically the Customer Care industry, with the job of solving questions and complaints, Depression and frustration are unavoidable. Besides, working with passion and creativity has a positive impact on employees, as the brain is continually exposed and challenged with new topics every day.

Even so, the level of happiness does not guarantee the loyalty of workers. When asked about the ability to 'jump', 47.6% of participants said that they would definitely change jobs in 2019. Ms. Nguyen Thu Ha, Director of Hanoi Office, Adecco Vietnam said, talents will quickly make a decision to change their jobs when they feel they cannot develop or get better offers. This will be very likely for talents with less than 10 years of work experience - when the need for self-development and finding new opportunities is strengthened.

The survey also shows that the happiness level of employees is determined primarily by non-financial factors, with the leading factor is open-minded colleagues in the way of thinking / working, followed by a good training program, with guidance and a meaningful job. Ms. Le Nguyen Ngoc Thanh said that employees will stick with the company for a long time when they feel valued, and are invested professionally, thereby helping the company avoid 'bleeding' talent and Save money on hiring / training new people.
