Save Revival Retro: a unique independent shop in London is Crowdfunding for survival
Determined not to become another statistic of closures on the British high street, award winning boutique Revival Retro has turned to their community to help them raise £25,000 to save jobs, support livelihoods and eventually re-open their boutique.

Whilst Revival Retro are eligible for the extended business rates relief, they do not meet the strict criteria for the current cash grants on offer from the government. Being unable to access these grants pushed them to set up a #PayItForward Crowdfunder, through which they are aiming to raise £25,000 by the 26th April. It's a lot to ask but they are optimistic thanks to the outpouring of support they have received since launching on April 5th.
Charlotte Thursby, manager of Revival Retro, said "It was nerve wracking to launch our Crowdfunder as we had no idea how it would be received by our customers and friends, but the response has been incredible! From the money raised to the comments posted by both people we know and strangers around the world, it has all made me very emotional and reinforced how Revival Retro is so much more than just a shop. We're a community and safe space for many."
The money raised through their Crowdfunder page will go a long way to keeping not just this small business going, but also those of whom they stock and support, including factories in London where they produce their own range of clothing.
Whether you want to offer a small donation, pay it forward by purchasing a voucher now to redeem later, or to invest in a small business you believe in, Revival Retro have a variety of rewards to choose from on their "Save Revival Retro" Crowdfunder page. Highlights include tickets to their re-opening party, a personal jazz serenade and lifetime discounts. Find them and others at https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/
