Father and Son Unite Over Passion for Doing Good to Bring Socially Responsible Shopping Control to Consumers through Crisis and Beyond
Kedar, after feeling he and his generation were hungry to act, but unsure how, came up with a concept that would empower conscientious consumers to make informed purchases that reflect their values. He approached his dad, Jayant Khadilkar who had non-profit connections to help his son make the vision a reality. Jayant states, "We always tried to do the little things at home when the kids were young, recycling, composting, avoiding shopping at retailers who were unfair to their employees... It has been one of the greatest honors of my career to help my son realize his passion."
Kedar added, "As a conscious consumer, it's hard to know if we are supporting companies that take care of our world. Through this crisis and beyond, we don't want to have any remorse that our purchases are fostering unethical or negligent companies." Millions of products are purchased online every day.
