South Carolina deputy killed in two-car collision will be honored with fundraiser for his family

SMITHFIELD, N.C. - April 13, 2020 - PRLog -- After sacrificing his life in the line of duty Easter weekend, a Sheriff's deputy in Charleston, South Carolina will be remembered with a special apparel fundraiser for his family.

Deputy Sheriff Jeremy Ladue of the Charleston County Sheriff's Office was killed in the line of duty in the early hours of April 13, when his cruiser was struck by a vehicle while driving near the 2400 block of Savannah Highway near Dobbin Road.

Deputy Ladue and the other vehicle's driver both suffered fatalities.

To honor Deputy Ladue's memory, American lifestyle brand Shield Republic will run a special "Hold the Line" apparel fundraiser, with net proceeds from the sale of  t-shirts, long-sleeved shirts, hoodies, ladies' tank tops and decals to be donated to the deputy's family at the close of the campaign. Every item sold through a Hold the Line fundraiser is designed and manufactured in the USA.

"We were so sorry to hear that Deputy Ladue's noble service was cut short tragically," said Charlie Romero, spokesperson for Shield Republic. "We hope we are able to pay tribute to the deputy's service through our new Hold the Line fundraiser honoring his memory and raising funds for his family during this challenging time."

Deputy Ladue had served with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office since February of 2019.
