BASINGSTOKE, U.K. - April 8, 2020 - PRLog -- By late October we all hope the coronavirus will seem like a distant nightmare, and by then we are all going to be in need of a great holiday.  Families who have cancelled their Easter and Summer holidays and have been self-isolating in their homes for weeks, will especially be in need of a break.  Bamboo Travel have picked out their Top 5 family holidays for the October half term::

Start in Bangkok, with a tour by private boat, to see life along the canals to the Wat Pho temple, with its reclining Buddha, and weekend market. Then take a flight to the ancient town of Luang Prabang, on the Mekong River, in the jungles of northern Laos. Spend five days exploring the old town, and cruise the waterways by private boat to discover waterfalls, villages and a botanical garden carved into the jungle.  The holiday ends with a five-night stay on the island of Koh Samet.

Loop inland through the volcanic terrain of central Bali to Ubud, a thriving town of artisans surrounded by paddy fields. After a day learning some local arts and crafts, return to the south for a final few nights' relaxing at a family-friendly resort located on a quiet beach.
