Cross Section Music Cancelled or Postponed?

ISLINGTON, U.K. - April 7, 2020 - PRLog -- As we move through the third week of the isolation and lockdown, the question of when will things return to normal is on the tip of the world's tongue. Many of us are also concerned about what the world will look like once the lockdown lifts and what this will mean to the entertainment industry. We know that the possibility of a recession appears imminent following Q1 and Q2 negative growth due to the global pandemic.

All public fixtures for early 2020 have seen a tumble and many of us have resorted to social streaming in an attempt to retain existing fans who have been faced with having to take a long hard look at the very real possibilities of a total change in how this world will operate in the future.

Everyone is affected. Deposits, contracts and good faith have been broken due to this crisis. Some major party and festival organisations have cancelled dates and refused to give any refunds to the paying party-goers, which is a shame. We are getting new stories every day from some friends and colleagues who are totally distressed by the situation as their paperwork is not in order, and cannot receive any assistance from any official bodies.

At Cross Section Music we are working to maintain our releases and stay focussed, so to protect and save lives we are postponing vinyl manufacturing. We will be releasing digitally only until it is safe to go back to vinyl production. There will be special online exclusive streams highlighting forthcoming releases and special one-off edits which we will keep you informed of via our site and social media platforms.

Please feel free to leave constructive comments feedback or suggestions to help us to work better with you, as your support is what keeps us going. Rest assured we are committed to delivering and maintaining quality music from our label.

It's extremely difficult to engage with many things at this time as staying safe and healthy plus looking out for others that need our help is the priority. This still leaves the questions, what will be the state of the world in the near future? Has it been cancelled or postponed?

Let's please spare a moment to think of those who have lost family and friends.  Stay safe, stay at home, respect each other and protect the NHS!
