LEBANON, Ore. - April 6, 2020 - PRLog -- State of War Is My Business

This press release covers the seventh month of War Is My Business currently engaging the market.

Due to COVID-19, plans and tasks would have to change in order to offset a change in patterns of life.  A change in timelines for Army Reserve tasks, caring and teaching children from home, and limited access to facilities that have helped facilitate content for WIMB.

Accomplished Activities

Website:

• Book Review:

How Everything Became War and the Military Became Everything: Tales from the Pentagon by Rosa Brooks is a book about the author's experiences dealing with civil-military issues. It also serves as a tool for helping the citizenry, especially those in office and other civil servants, understand the military a little more, and be able to engage them more effectively. It shows the need for our society to understand that the military - for all its power and dedication to accomplishing its missions - has its limits. https://warismybusiness.com/how-everything-became-war-and-the-military-became-everything

Social Media:

• Reached approximately 1,900-page likes by the end of the month: an increase of 400 likes from last month.

Future Tasks

Business:

• Continuing to focus on studying material that will lead to new full-scale articles for the next section of the website.  On Combat and On Killing by Dave Grossman will be the next books on the agenda to help cover the concept of killing as an aspect of human social activities, which will then lead to the discussion of civil-military relations.  So basically, looking at why we conduct that particular activity (killing) and then how we incorporate it within societies (militaries, PMCs, criminal organizations, etc.).

• Moving operations from Texas to Oregon at the beginning of July will require the movement of much of my equipment and resources which will detract from the ability to work on WIMB, but once established the ability to produce content should improve.
