The company has seen many milestones since its founding in 1942. The company was registered originally as LTC, being founded by the Cook and Coy, Labouska and Taylor M families. As of 1952, g hot irons were used in place of paint to brand LTC pallets. In 1955-57, LTC began manufacturing and hiring of pallets made of wood from its premises in Port Melbourne.
In 1957, LTC was baptised by the name Loscam Trading Pty Ltd. Pallets began to be coloured with a white and reddish-brown logo. In 1962, the first two depots of the company were thrown open in Brisbane as well as Sydney. Its operations were expanded in 1975 to South Australia.
In 1987, Loscam marked the milestone of going public. In 1993, the company invested in plastic pallets sourced from Vietnam. The next year it forayed into the market in Asia by beginning to operate in Malaysia and Singapore. In 1995, it entered Thailand and reached Hong Kong as well as Indonesia in the year 1996. By 2001, it reached the Philippines and in 2006, towards Vietnam.
The big bang was in 2007 when the company forayed into China. In fact, in 2010, the company was acquired by the China Merchant's Group (CMG). As such, the next year, the headquarters of the company relocated to a new location-Hong Kong. The same year, the company clocked 1 million pallets in its Chinese market.
In 2012, Loscam devoted to celebrating its 70th anniversary and launched operations inside New Zealand by connecting Australia with New Zealand in its services. In 2013, Loscam became the largest supplier of pallets made of wood, serving the region of the Asia-Pacific. Plastic pallets were introduced in China. In the following years, new products like beverage trays, pallet cages, Loscam IBC 18 etc. were launched. By 2018, the company established itself in the 4 regions in the Asia-Pacific market.
