LONG BEACH, Calif. - March 25, 2020 - PRLog -- The nationally-recognized nursing home lawyers at Garcia & Artigliere have filed a complaint against Central Valley Specialty Hospital in Modesto, California, alleging that their client suffered dependent adult abuse during his time at the facility. The firm would like to invite anyone with information to come forward at this time.

For almost 30 years, the nationally-recognized attorneys at Garcia & Artigliere have been fighting for justice on behalf of injured seniors and dependent adults in long-term care facilities. Recently, the firm filed a dependent adult abuse lawsuit against Central Valley Specialty Hospital with the Superior Court of the State of California in Stanislaus County.

Alleging that their client suffered serious injuries during his time at Central Valley Specialty Hospital, the team at Garcia & Artigliere detailed how he sustained several painful pressure sores – which are defined as a "never event" by the medical community. Because the patient was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia, sepsis, and other life-threatening conditions, he was entirely dependent on staff for his activities of daily living, and entitled to receive ongoing supervision and personal grooming care.

In spite of their duty of care to the patient, the staff at Central Valley Specialty Hospital failed to perform routine tasks that would have prevented him from suffering pressure sores. The staff also failed to correct this condition in a timely manner, leading to a worsening of the patient's injuries and causing him to pass out from blood loss and infection.

Now that their client needs daily physical therapy and has yet to regain the ability to walk, the attorneys at Garcia & Artigliere are asking for maximum compensation to account for his losses. At this time, the firm would like to invite anyone with information about negligence at Central Valley Specialty Hospital to come forward.
