Oral Cancer Initiative Welcomes Pamela Adams as VP Media & Communications

CHICAGO - March 23, 2020 - PRLog -- Oral Cancer Initiative announced the arrival of Pamela Adams to lead media and communications. Having enjoyed twenty-five-years as a professional media advertising executive, Pam built her career in radio and television advertising sales, sales management, and as GM in Colorado and Europe. After radio and TV, Pam served as Regional Account Manager for New York City-based Landon Media Group, covering the Midwest Region. Here, she worked with the largest ad agencies in the States, representing over seventy newspapers' national advertising interests.

Another highlight of Pam's career was the opportunity to lead two jazz formats (she is a life-long jazz devotee) and, secondly, enabling her to work and travel in Europe. JazzRadio in Berlin recruited Pam to serve as VP Sales & Marketing when they needed experienced marketers after the introduction of commercial broadcast in Germany.

In her career, she has worked with local businesses, large national and international brands, and even created a Day at the Races promotion and enjoyed dinner with the man who would-be Kaiser (if things had gone differently for Germany after WWI.)

In 1999 Pam was the first recipient of American Women In Radio & Television's first Rising Star Award, presented in Washington D.C. (annual award presented to one East & one West Regional member) She is honored and thankful for the support of her fellow members and colleagues.

Pam is excited to take her experience in advertising and continue her commitment to customer-focused solutions. She is working to make a difference in this niche– unscreened oral cancer dental patients.  Pam is determined that OIC will succeed in getting the word out about this growing cancer threat, and to decrease the 70% - 80% of Americans who report they have NOT had an oral cancer screening. OIC will continue to offer free screenings and dental referrals initiatives nationwide. Early detection is paramount for a cure.

Pam Adams may be the best person I have hired in my decades of running companies. She displays integrity, loyalty, vision, and an unbelievable work ethic.

On a more personal note, she tells me the thrill of her life is raising three successful children and now enjoying and seeing the world through the eyes of her ever-curious grandchildren.
