Dante, Demons, Dominatrixes, and Debauchery Embrace the Spring Solstice

On Saturday March 21st, Revelation Gallery will feature a seasonal poetry evening with a Lenten theme as part of the "Arts at Saint John's" Program:  "Verses Sacred & Profane: A Spicy Literary Lushness for Lent."

This literary evening will feature two poets. LindaAnn LoSchiavo reading her poetry from Concupiscent Consumption [Red Ferret Press, 2020] and A Route Obscure and Lonely [Wapshott Press, 2020].  Michael Palma reading from his published volumes, A Fortune in Gold and Begin in Gladness, along with uncollected and previously unpublished work, as well as from his translations of Dante's Commedia — — such as Inferno [W.W. Norton].

Native New Yorker LindaAnn LoSchiavo, playwright, writer, and poet, is a member of The Dramatists Guild and SFPA. Her formal verse collections "Conflicted Excitement" [Red Wolf Editions, 2018], "Concupiscent Consumption" [Red Ferret Press, 2020], and "A Route Obscure and Lonely"' [Wapshott Press, 2020] along with her collaborative book on prejudice [Macmillan in the USA, Aracne Editions in Italy] and fiction anthology "A Feast of Narrative" [Idea Press, 2020] are her latest titles. Translator and poet Michael Palma has published collections of his own poetry, as well as a fully rhymed version of Dante's "Inferno" [W.W. Norton critical edition] and 17 volumes of translations of modern and contemporary Italian poets. His complete translation of Dante's "La Divina Commedia" is forthcoming from W.W. Norton. His essay "The Road to Rome, and Back Again" appeared in The Pushcart Prize XXVII (2003). His collections "A Fortune in Gold" [Star Cloud Press, 2011] and "Begin in Gladness" [Gradiva Publications, 2000] are for sale this evening.
