PALM COAST, Fla. - March 13, 2020 - PRLog -- Tom Bexley, Flagler County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller, announced that the Clerk's office will remain open for business.

"The health and safety of our courthouse, staff and the public is our top priority, but we must also make sure that continued access to the judiciary and to the Clerk of Court 's services are maintained," Clerk Bexley said.

The Chief Justice of the state's Supreme Court, Charles Canady, issued an administrative order earlier this week setting forth the State Courts System's response to the current situation. This follows Governor DeSantis' declaration of a statewide emergency and the announcement by the World Health Organization the COVID19 has become a "pandemic".

"In keeping with these decisions, this office will follow suite and is reviewing its emergency operations plans in the event it becomes necessary to implement other procedures," Clerk Bexley went on to say.

In the meantime, everyone is encouraged to visit the CDC website for more information on prevention and about COVID19 in general at https://www.cdc.gov/.
