Truxx Offers Discounted Service for College and University Students
The popular truck-sharing service is offerings discounts for students faced with early move-out due to corona virus (Cov19).
As an on-demand service, Truxx is poised to help students with these sudden decisions by college and university administrators to close campuses across the country. By discounting the truck-sharing service the company hopes to help students move items too big for their cars as they prepare to return home.
"We are the only truck-sharing service with a national driver network, so we're well prepared to help these students," said Jamie Hess, Truxx, co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, "Many of us at Truxx have kids in college so we know just how disruptive are these campus closures. Frankly, we wish we could do more, but hopefully this will help."
Students effected by early campus closures will simply enter 'CollegeRoxx' in the description when entering a move and a 10% discount will be applied. According to the company, they plan to extend the offer until which time they announce an expiration.
Truxx is a popular truck-sharing service and the first to build a national driver network. Truck-sharing is similar to popular ride-sharing services like Lyft or Uber, however their drivers have pickups or vans and they help users move items too big for their cars. Users can easily schedule and rate drivers and make cash-free payments by simply downloading the free app. Like many sharing services, Truxx offers driver location services, in-app messaging and driver background checks. The Truxx app is currently available for download on App Store and Google Play.
