PORTLAND, Ore. - March 13, 2020 - PRLog -- In the wake of the Coronavirus, the best form of defense is to avoid going outside, also known as Social Distancing. Sounds great for gamers!  Collective, the upcoming "Community Created Card Game," is offering free season passes to help people with Social Distancing. The place to request a free season pass is here: https://www.collective.gg/covid.

Inspired by games like Magic and Hearthstone, Collective is the first card game where players directly control what cards are in the game. Cards are created using the in-game editor and submitted to https://www.reddit.com/r/CollectiveCG. Each week the top 10 posts are added to the game.

Odious Studios, a two-man indie studio based out of Portland, OR, believe they can take on the giants of the card-battler genre by being receptive to player feedback and ditching the predatory pack-based business model of their competitors. Cards are easy to get, and they offer a "All Cards Pass" one-time purchase. Players can use free or paid currency to unlock cosmetics, as well as Heroes: playable characters with unique powers that decks are built around.

"We figured the Season Pass was the best way to give people a lot of stuff to do. No one knows how long this situation will last – in China it's just beginning to let up after two months of quarantine." - Alec Boutin, Co-Creator of Collective

Odious Studios, LLC is an independent developer of desktop and mobile games.
