Craft supply company announces national cardmaking event in March

ARLINGTON, Texas - March 13, 2020 - PRLog -- Crafters across the U.S. are invited to participate in a nationwide event designed to bring together the crafting community to create cards for children in foster care.

#CardsForCubs is a national crafting event hosted by Bearly Art, a craft supply company specializing in precision craft glue products and accessories. The company's first annual #CardsForCubs event, lauched March 7, will run through March 31.

Everyone is invited to participate in #CardsForCubs by creating handcrafting cards that will be sent to children of all ages in the foster care system, bringing them cheer and hope. The event was inspired by the experience of one of Bearly Art's co-founders, who has fostered a child and whose wife is a case manager who works with foster children.

"Every year, hundreds of thousands of children enter into the foster care system, where the average child will remain for a year of their lives," said Jeremy Su, Co-Founder of Bearly Art. "We want to surround these children with love by sending them handmade cards from compassionate crafters around the country."

With #CardsForCubs, bundles of handmade cards will be given to foster care agencies chosen by the Bearly Art team. The first agency that will receive cards to distribute is Arlington-based Arrow Child and Family Ministries, an organization that provides foster care serves to children who have experienced abuse, trauma, or instability.

Crafters can participate in #CardsForCubs in one of four ways: They can send handmade cards with messages directly to Bearly Art for distribution to foster care agencies; they can send a message that can be added to a card in their name; they can organize a cardmaking party (with select qualifying parties to receive glue donations from Bearly Art); and/or they can spread the word about the crafting event on their own social media pages using the #CardsForCubs hashtag.

Cards created for the #CardsForCubs event should target children up to age 18 with uplifting and encouraging messages and mailed to Bearly Art | 801 Station Dr. STE 113 | Arlington, TX 76015.

Anyone who participates in the event, either by donating a card or volunteering in any other way, will receive a discount on Bearly Art products.

The Bearly Art team will distribute the cards to foster kids via foster care organizations in April.
