Anytime Fitness Waterbury To Host Blood Drive To Benefit The Red Cross Friday, April 24
By: Anytime Fitness Waterbury
Blood is a perishable product that can only come from generous volunteers. By donating blood, individuals can make a difference in the lives of patients in their community and throughout the nation. Every day in Connecticut alone, the Red Cross must collect 305 units of blood just to keep up with hospital needs.
All types of blood are urgently needed. A blood donor card or driver's license, or two other forms of identification, are required at check-in at Anytime Fitness in Waterbury on Friday, April 24.
Anytime Fitness Waterbury Owner, Bryan Joyce, commented, "We offer a very public platform that I wanted to use to benefit a very public community service, the American Red Cross. This is a great way to give back to an organization that I respect highly.
To register to donate blood during the April 24th American Red Cross Blood Drive, email to Kimberly.Moreland@

Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
