Symplast's Randy Torban to be Featured at the 2020 Association of Dermatology Administrators & Managers Meeting
Randy Torban, Senior Practice Analyst for Symplast, will present the educational workshop BEST PRACTICES: KPIs & WORKFLOWS at the 28th Annual ADAM Meeting
Torban, an industry thought-leader in translating aesthetic data analytics into measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), recently joined Symplast with the objective of leading and growing the new Practice Analysis division within the organization. His educational session will focus on how to understand the data behind every aesthetic business, in particular:
· Workflows and how they relate to the patient journey
· Processes and protocols that every practice can formalize in order to stay efficient
· Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and how the business should be measuring performance trends
"Whenever we talk about things like KPIs or staff protocols, it's very natural for a practice administrator to get a little antsy," said Torban. "Everyone knows the adage of 'garbage in; garbage out', and the way to prevent looking at bad data is to create good processes. What I've found from my time at AtlasKPI was that while every aesthetic business wants to track/manage their patient conversion rate, many struggle to standardize their patient booking process. Whether it's the capturing of patient data or the way the appointment is booked, the metrics are only as strong as the processes in place. It doesn't matter whether it's plastic surgery, dermatology, or even a standalone medical spa – the challenge is consistency. I always like to provide practical guidance that people can execute on, so my session will focus on providing more context about HOW you can do this, rather than simply reviewing the WHAT or the WHY. Breaking down the HOW is critical to whether someone can successfully implement best practices into their business."
In addition to Randy Torban's workshop on Saturday, Symplast will be at Booth #14 in the exhibit hall, showcasing the newly unveiled TEAMS feature that has been added to our complete end-to-end EHR suite. An enhancement to the existing HIPAA Secure Conversation capabilities within Symplast, TEAMS allows a practice to eliminate human error with patient communication while also providing unparalleled parameters of control to the business.
