WASHINGTON - March 8, 2020 - PRLog -- On the heels of Black History Month, March 10 is National Black Girl Day. On this day, as a nation, we will celebrate Black Girl's and all of the things that make us unique and an asset to this land. In conjunction, the anticipated release of the non-fictional self-help book The Black Girl's Guide to Healing Emotional Wounds will be available for purchase. Written by Nijiama Smalls who holds and MBA and lives in the Washington DC Metro area, this book addresses the emotional issues that plague black girls in America.

"Growing up without my biological father, there was always a feeling of rejection like I wasn't good enough for him…"   is a quote from the book. It is filled with statistics, examples, and factual anecdotes that describe the emotional pain that Black Girl's suffer. It touches on the societal ills within and outside of the black community that has caused Black Girl's harm. The author conveys this by giving a very candid glimpse into her past hurts and experiences.

This book is also a call to action for black girls to heal themselves through a soul cleanse from past hurts while building a sisterhood effect called the Black Girl Code in which Black Girls become includers of which will aid them in healing and progression.
