Prior to starting his own firm, Welch worked as a commercial relationship manager, lender, and credit analyst for Banner Bank in South Puget Sound and Columbia Bank in Tacoma. His career in banking began as a branch manager in Seattle for JP Morgan Chase. He holds a B.S. in applied economics from the University of San Francisco along with certifications in commercial lending from the American Bankers Association and the Risk Management Association.
