CULTURE & COCKTAILS Welcomes 220 Fans to Conversation between first-time author Leslie Gray

 
PALM BEACH, Fla. - March 4, 2020 - PRLog -- (Palm Beach, FL – March 4, 2020) Dave Lawrence, President & CEO of the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County today announced that more than 220 fans and friends attended last Monday's penultimate presentation of the 15th season of the popular series CULTURE & COCKTAILS at The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach.

A Conversation between Leslie Gray Streeter and James Patterson

Leslie Gray Streeter
is the pop culture columnist for The Palm Beach Post, where she has covered music, movies, celebrities,  staycations and more since 2002. Her first book (Black Widow) is being published this month by Little, Brown & Company. The laugh- and tear-packed memoir details her love affair with her late husband, and surviving his sudden and tragic passing around their fifth anniversary.

James Patterson is the world's best-selling author and a major cultural philanthropist. Books by the former advertising executive have sold more than 300 million copies worldwide—including the Alex Cross, Women's Murder Club, Maximum Ride and Middle School series—and more than 100 of his titles have been New York Times bestsellers. Patterson has frequently encouraged Streeter in her writing efforts and was there to celebrate her first published book.

+ Tyler Corbett, 11, a sixth grader at St. Vincent Ferrer School, has performed in shows both there and at the Lake Worth Playhouse, and is a three-year member of the Delray Summer Sing Camp.

+ Kai Olivia Koren, 17, is the recipient of the 2016 Young Artist's Award for the Society of the Great American Songbook, and has performed with her musical mentors Jill & Rich Switzer, and at such legendary venues as the Palladium, Carnegie Hall, Birdland Jazz Club, and the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts.

+ Kaylee Owen, 8, a second grader at Plumosa School of the Arts, performs as both a singer and pianist with the hip-hop dance club, K-2 Choir, and the Delray Summer Sing Camp.

+ Zachary Lee Williams, a 16-year-old piano player who has performed with the Kretzer Kids, has been described as "an old soul with a classy touch, defying his young age."
