SANTEE, Calif. - March 9, 2020 - PRLog -- Construction has been completed on a new retaining wall for the new Taylor Morrison homes community RiverView at Town Center in Santee, California. The speed of Fast Tilt's patented retaining wall technology was a critical factor in selecting the Fast Tilt for the job.

Fast Tilt leverages the benefits of tilt-up technology to create walls up to 40% faster than their masonry counterparts.

"The speed at which we can construct these walls is incredible. It's truly a game changer in the construction industry," said Russ Baumgartner, President of Fast Tilt Retaining Wall. "We erected over 400 feet of wall in 5 hours on this project. The entire project was completed in 10 working days, with 2 additional days required for the inspections of the poured walls and buttresses. Now the wall is finished and in place and everyone is thrilled with the result."

The Fast Tilt wall system gains efficiency by allowing the walls to be poured at the same time—or even before—the footings are poured. When the walls are cured and the design and finish complete, the walls can simply be lifted into place with a crane.

Because the walls are poured horizontally on the ground, they use far less wood and provide a unique opportunity to add finishing touches that are difficult or impossible using masonry or poured-in-place methods. This tilt-up construction method allows the wall system to be customized with decorative elements to match the surrounding aesthetic. For RiverView at Town Center, Fast Tilt utilized a colored concrete with a #50 TOP-CAST to match the nearby sidewalk that runs alongside the San Diego River.

During the project, the firm welcomed architects, engineers, contractors and developers to observe the wall construction and ask questions about the wall's features. The firm also produced a video detailing the entire retaining wall construction process, from initial preparing of the sand beds through flying the wall panels into place with a crane.
