NEW YORK - Feb. 29, 2020 - PRLog -- A sell-out event coming to Queens in March will harness haptic technology to create a shared, multi-sensory music experience for people across the hearing spectrum.

Not Impossible and Zappos are hosting a unique Haptic Art Experience featuring music and art from inaugural artists of the Music: Not Impossible (M:NI) Creator Network. The event will be held Saturday, March 7 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Museum of the Moving Image (36-01 35th Ave.).

The term haptic refers to the sense of touch. Initially inspired by the deaf, M:NI is creating a radically inclusive, integrated haptic experience that allows all people regardless of their level of hearing to enjoy live music together. Striving to promote radical inclusivity, Music:Not Impossible's Vibrotextile™ wearable technology translates sound onto the skin.

From musical performances to one-of-a-kind, experiential activations, the night will showcase the future of haptic art. At the event, distinguished multimedia artists, composers, engineers, developers and producers, deaf and hearing alike, who make up the first Creator Network will showcase original artwork using the immersive M:NI technology. The elite group has utilized M:NI's vibrotactile creative platform to develop completely new sensory experiences that they will share with event attendees.

"The deaf community has always been able to enjoy music by feeling its vibrations," said Mick Ebeling, founder of Not Impossible Labs. "Our technologies build on this premise by developing a wearable system that can send vibrations out and create a whole new way of experiencing music that can be collectively shared by hundreds of people."

"This is a whole new multi-sensory experience," added Daniel Belquer, creator of the M:NI devices.

This event is currently at capacity. View the registration page at https://creatornetwork.splashthat.com/.
