DRUMHELLER, Alberta - March 3, 2020 - PRLog -- Canadian Icon Tom Cochrane with Red Rider returns to the Badlands Amphitheatre, Alberta's premier outdoor live concert venue on Saturday, August 29, for a memorable evening of rock and roll entertainment.

The Badlands AMP has received five prestigious Travel Alberta Alto awards. It also continues to receive high praise from musicians and audiences alike who are captivated by its natural amphitheatre settings as well as the intimacy of its 2,500-seat outdoor stage.

In 2015, Tom Cochrane launched the Canadian Icons Concerts Series with a sold-out concert. Since then, the AMP has grown its reputation as a unique outdoor venue while hosting Canadian acts such as Blue Rodeo, Randy Bachman, Paul Brandt, Corb Lund, and Jann Arden.

"Tom Cochrane delivers a great night of rock and roll music. He launched our Canadian Icons series five years ago with a sold-out concert. We are thrilled to have him back on our stage. It will be a celebration of Canadian music," says Badlands AMP's Executive Director, Vance Neudorf.

Cochrane has won eight Juno awards and numerous other industry honours, including the 2013 Allan Waters Humanitarian Award and a Grammy nomination.

Opening Act: MARIEL BUCKLEY

Calgary artist Mariel Buckley's momentum has built quickly, recently earning her Roots Solo Artist of the Year at the 2019 WCMA's.

She finds herself one of alt-country's busiest acts, with recent performances in support of k.d. lang, Hayes Carll, Sarah Shook & The Disarmers, The Deep Dark Woods and Serena Ryder.

Approximate running time is three (3) hours

Ticket Information:
Tickets:  $49. to $79. Plus, a $7. Ticket Fee and GST.
Parking is available for $7. in advance and $10. at the door.
The performances go rain or shine. Tickets are non-refundable.
Cancelled performance, due to severe weather, will result in a non-profit tax receipt to the purchaser, for the ticket price. Online limit of ten (10) tickets per person.
