FORT MYERS, Fla. - Feb. 27, 2020 - PRLog -- Earn to Learn FL raised over $135,000 through its Mentors of IMPACT gala to help additional Florida students pursue a brighter future through a college education.

Mentors of IMPACT, held Feb. 19 at The Club at Mediterra, recognized the achievements of eight individuals who have inspired others in the community through mentoring: Joe Catti (FineMark National Bank, Alise Bartley, Ph.D. (Mental Health Crusader), Kellie Burns (NBC2), Myra Daniels (Philanthropist), Gail Markham (Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Company, P.A.), Michael Martin, Ph.D. (Florida Gulf Coast University), Susan McManus (Champions for Learning) and Mark Stevens (Stevens Construction).

More than 200 people attended Mentors of IMPACT, which included a cocktail reception, gourmet dinner, networking opportunities, an auction and a keynote address by Babcock Ranch founder Syd Kitson, chairman and CEO of Kitson & Partners. All pledges and donations made during the event were matched through the Florida Prepaid College Foundation's Stanley Tate Project STARS Scholarship, doubling the gala's impact.

"So many students have the academic talents and desire to succeed in college, but their access to education is limited because of finances," said Brenda Tate, founder and CEO of Earn to Learn FL. "Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and supporters at Mentors of IMPACT, including the Florida Prepaid College Foundation, we'll be able to help more students pursue a degree and ultimately the career path of their choice."
