Follow on Google News | shareDOWNTOWN announces first retail tenant, Golden Fog coffee barGolden Fog Coffee is a new venture conceived by Derek Douglas and his wife Juliet. A native Las Vegan, Derek Douglas is an artist professionally known as SNIPT who specializes in pop culture mixed media mashups and murals. Juliet is a hospitality professional with over 15 years of event planning experience in the food and beverage industry. Inspired by Juliet's youth spent in San Francisco and Las Vegas' hometown hockey team the Vegas Golden Knights, Golden Fog Coffee will merge the couple's individual passions, art and dining, into a casual coffee bar offering high-quality specialty coffees and a bakery / quick bite menu catering to plant-based options. Golden Fog Coffee will exclusively carry Sightglass Coffee, an independent, sibling-owned coffee company based in San Francisco that practices small production methods to deliver the highest quality coffee roasts. Golden Fog Coffee is Sightglass Coffee's first presence in downtown Las Vegas. Espresso will be created using a Sanremo Café Racer. The 1,400 sq. ft. space will offer comfortable seating for 30 to 40 guests, including bar seating with charging stations and outlets along expansive windows creating the perfect spot for those working remotely. Golden Fog will also have patio seating along Casino Center Boulevard. The coffee bar's décor will feature clean lines and relaxed modern styles as well as art from local artists on the walls. The couple also plans on showcasing local art through a monthly pop-up program that will offer limited edition cups, t-shirts and other merchandise branded by Golden Fog with local artists' creations. Golden Fog Coffee will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
