By: Junior League of San Antonio The San Antonio native received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance in 1987 from The University of Texas at Austin. O'Connell, a Private Client Manager / Senior Vice President at Bank of America in the Private Banking Group, is proud of her banking career with over 30 years of experience in the financial industry as a dynamic business professional specializing in client relationship management, sales, marketing, business development, system and technical training, product presentations and client relations. She was awarded the Spirit of Excellence Award for her performance from 2004 - 2007 by being included in the top 10% of 1,000 client managers nationwide. O'Connell's volunteer experience has touched not just San Antonio but has stretched across the country. O'Connell joined the Junior League of San Antonio and credits her Junior League membership with helping her meet new people and gain a deeper understanding and knowledge about her San Antonio community. O'Connell was able to leverage the knowledge gained during her Junior League of San Antonio experience to make an impact in organizations such as The Charity Ball Association, Timely Topics, the Downtown Rotary, Military Civilian Club and her commitment to the Battle of Flowers parade as Entries Chair this year. She is looking forward to the "iViva las Flores!" parade 2020! The skills O'Connell acquired through her Junior League of San Antonio membership helped her to provide leadership to many community and civic organizations, to develop fundraising funnels for nonprofits in San Antonio. She has served as a former co-chairman for Leadership San Antonio, as a volunteer for NCAA Final Four, as a board member for other prominent nonprofits in San Antonio . You can find O'Connell, an avid outdoors fan, husband Keith O'Connell, San Antonio native and local attorney, daughter, Elizabeth Ann and two Labrador retrievers meeting people, traveling, saltwater fishing or spending time outdoors.
