Follow on Google News | Coral Springs Center for the Arts to Present THE FOUR TOPS(Coral Springs, FL – February 21, 2020) The Coral Springs Center for the Arts today announced that legendary R&B superstars THE FOUR TOPS will be performing in concert in early April. April 7 at 7 pm (Tuesday) THE FOUR TOPS With Special Guest Peter Lemongello, Jr. The incomparable FOUR TOPS, formed in high school in Detroit, and were destined to spend the next four decades together as superstars, recording 24 top 40 pop hits. Their high energy show, packed with smooth moves, sweet harmonies and powerful vocals, will bring the audience back to a bygone era with the greatest music off all time. After signing with Chess Records and later with Columbia Records, The Four Tops toured with the Count Basie Band and Billy Eckstine, but it was not until they joined Berry Gordy's fledgling Motown label in 1963 that their career took off. Paired with the legendary writing/producing team of Holland-Dozier- In 1983, the Tops returned to Motown and began decades of touring with The Temptations. They appeared in many TV specials, including MOTOWN 45 and several PBS concerts, including their 50th anniversary concert. Other career accolades include their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (1990), induction into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame (1999), their designation by Rolling Stone magazine as #79 of the top 100 greatest artists of all time, and the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award (2009). After all these decades, the Four Tops remain the most entertaining quartet in pop music.
