COCOA BEACH, Fla. - Feb. 21, 2020 - PRLog -- After relocating from the Philippines and building a successful engineering career, local entrepreneur Lyn Hupfer is pleased to announce the launch of her new Home Helpers Home Care business in Brevard County.

Home Helpers is the nation's leading franchise specializing in comprehensive home care for seniors, new mothers and individuals needing recuperative and continuing assistance. Home Helpers also offers Direct Link, its proprietary line of 24/7 medical alert systems, including a fall sensor with GPS locator and an automated medication dispenser. Hupfer's locally-owned and operated Home Helpers franchise serves the entire Brevard County, Florida, area.

Home Helpers offers free in-home consultations and works with each client to create a flexible, affordable care plan based on a person's individual needs. Hupfer's team offers in-home personal care, companion care, homemaker services, respite care and 24-hour/live-in care.

Hupfer was born in the Philippines and earned her BS in Civil Engineering from Holy Angel University. She moved to the United States and married her husband, Kraig Hupfer, a veteran, and they relocated to Florida in 1989. In 1995, she was hired by the City of Cocoa Engineering Division and, in 2000, she took a Civil/Environmental Engineering position at Kennedy Space Center/Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. She moved into a Project Manager position in 2004 and, for the last 10 years, Hupfer has been an Environmental/Safety and Mission Assurance Engineer. From 2014 to present, she volunteers as a tax preparer and reviewer for seniors, low-income, and military families through United Way and, in 2016, Hupfer started working on her business degree specializing in health care management. Hupfer is also completing her certification as a nursing assistant which is the backbone of the health care team.

"People in this area are in need of high-quality, in-home care options provided by high-quality, trained, compassionate caregivers. That's what I bring to this industry," Hupfer said. "With my family's support, I am confident Home Helpers can be the area's best in-home care solution. What can be better than owning your own business, at the same time helping people and being there to provide care for aging baby boomers? To me, Home Helpers is a no brainer."
