The process we use in producing mechanically engraved rolls can vary considerably depending on the desired outcome. Our production team uses a engraving process to produce subtle cell configurations that focus on function rather than appearance – and the vast majority of our customers want it that way. Our mechanically engraved rolls (also referred to as anilox rolls) typically are designed to deliver protective coatings, laminations and adhesives. Most of our customers want to see only the smooth layout of the adhesive or lamination on the film or card as opposed to identifiable patterns such as what you would see on chain restaurant napkins or name brand paper towels. Technology, engineering differentiate MECA's mechanically engraved rolls The technology required to produce high-quality mechanically engraved rolls, heat transfer rolls and vacuum rolls is what differentiates MECA from many of our competitors. While actual process data is the best starting point for input information our engineers can create a model of your process to arrive at this information in the absence of real data when it comes to designing mechanically engraved rolls.
