N'COBRA Will Participate in Bloody Sunday Jubilee

Over fifty years later African Americans are gathering in Selma around some of the same issues of 1965.

WASHINGTON - Feb. 14, 2020 - PRLog -- National Coalition of Blacks for Reparations in America (N'COBRA) announced today that they will have a delegation of their membership to march and support activities in Selma, AL to commemorate the 55th Anniversary of Bloody Sunday. This is the Jubilee of The Bridge Crossing is the largest annual civil rights commemoration held in the world. It has been attended by 3 sitting Presidents, hundreds of Civil Rights Leaders, and thousands of supporters.

"It is only right that we join our Brothers and Sisters in taking a stand during a time such as this," says Yomi Goodall, Female Co-Chair of the Youth Commission and Chairman of the N'COBRA 2020 Convention. Goodall, a resident of Selma, also stated, "[our country] is in a pivotal time as we still face racism, injustice, and economic tensions. Now is not the time to sit down but to stand up to move the agenda forward to honor those who died on this journey of equality."

N'COBRA's Annual convention will be held in Selma, Alabama, June 25-28, 2020. This year's focus is; The Role of Youth and Yong Adults in the Reparations Movement. For more information about the organization and its conference visit www.ncobraonline.org
