A-Zero: bio-compostable bags with inspiring art
By: A Zero Inc
A-Zero products are made from vegetable starch-based materials and dissolve into pure organic in a matter of months. They offer a viable solution to the plastic contamination of rivers and oceans. Being fully organic, they are harmless to marine life, birds, and animals.
"There are two problems with recyclables and reusables" - says DonMike Mendoza, the spokesman for A-Zero. "First, they are still petroleum-based, and even if used multiple times, sooner or later they end up in landfills. What's worse, according to the EPA only 9% of plastics are being recycled, and the recycling process is very far from clean technology".
A-Zero products are decorated with unique artwork. Artists from all over the world contributed their effort to the conservation issue. A-Zero bags are designed to stand out and to promote a plastic-free lifestyle. The idea behind A-Zero products is to lead by example and inspire others.
The technology used is well-proven, but most people are still unaware that vegetable-made disposable bags and wraps exist, and A-Zero is hoping to change that. Its Kickstarter campaign's rewards include non-plastic grocery bags, trash bags, zip bags, stretch wrap, disposable gloves, rain ponchos, and even non-woven compostable shopping totes.
The company believes that the earlier we adapt these, just as convenient, but much cleaner alternatives, the sooner we can say "no" to plastic pollution. Follow the link below to their Kickstarter campaign:
